Singer Island erosion is ‘a political shovefest’
article by Palm 2 Jupiter Publications

To All Singer Island Registered Voters:

In the recent municipal election held on November 2nd, a referendum question regarding development of the Riviera Beach Marina was placed on the ballot. The question was confusing. A "yes" vote meant you were against development and a "no" vote meant you were for it. Of the 1,884 Singer Island Voters, 385 voted "yes" or against development of the marina and citywide the project was voted down. Because of the fiscal consequences of the negative vote and the impact this will have on the tax base, the Island will be hit the hardest. We are trying to determine from those that voted yes, if indeed, you were opposed to the development of the marina, or if you were confused by the question ?
